Why do we call ourselves an accelerator?
The short answer is that we believe in outcomes over output. Though we’re experienced in using design as a catalyst for change, our toolkit is broad and our diverse partner network complements our expertise when needed.

We’re not ideologues or slaves to process. We know that speed is a critical strategic advantage and we know how and when to take creative risks. We also know that speed over quality can be a false economy in the long run, especially at scale. We’re firm believers in the Augustinian adage, festina lente. Roughly translated it means “make haste slowly”. You’ll recognise this impulse in English as “less haste, more speed” or “measure twice, cut once”.
This may sound like a paradox (go fast and go slow). However it’s critical to balance these competing forces. Acceleration at scale isn’t achieved by either endless planning or simply pushing harder.
True acceleration isn’t the stop-start rush of a foot on the pedal. It’s patient preparation to reach an open road with a full battery, and attentive readiness to windows of opportunity. It means complementing the ability to act quickly with clarity of destination, and continuous trade-offs along the way.
There are some hard-won lessons of operating sustainably at speed that we will bring to your venture or transformation:
- Clear framing - we will help you orient and maintain focus on true north
- Bold leaps - we will help you to carefully make creative leaps when needed
- Decisive leadership - we will help you rapidly decide whether to leap, build a bridge or cut your losses
We call ourselves an accelerator because we do more than provide design services or management consultancy. We are a partner for accelerating change.
Talk to us if your venture or transformation needs to achieve outcomes with both pace and quality.
